Our children gave us one of these DNA testing kits for our birthdays and we’ve sent off our “samples.” But I already know something of my ancestry. Ha-ha! 😉

  1. Might be surprised! With a last name of Schmidt, who knew the greatest percentage of my dna would be Great Britain? Sigh. If only I had inherited their lovely accent . . .

  2. Thanks for your comment. If the DNA test shows the greater percentage of your ancestors came from Great Britain, how accurate are those tests? Schmidt originally Smith? Mind you, the Saxons originated in north Germany, so maybe, way way back…
    Perhaps I’ll hear that half my ancestors are Spanish — some Armada survivor cast ashore in Wales? 😉
