Well considered enjambment over lines two and three, and the verb, adjective, and ‘too long’ lift this!
Its a nice life if you can get it, lingering in sweet repose. Except now in November you’re supposed to be up with the roosters, working on your novel. 🙂

I do find that an actual experience had really add authenticity, and of course it’s how you pace each line too, like in any good writing.
