Your Daily Word prompt for today is VENERABLE, which brings to mind a Pixabay image I downloaded several years ago.

Don’t these these dear old gentlemen look venerable? I imagine them sitting and sharing their great wisdom, shaping it into haiku and senryu verses. 🙂

Old men figures

family tree
the sap ever flowing
in our veins

lamplight at midnight
reddens the sleepy eyes
until midday

On that note I shall say goodnight and extinguish my lamp. 🙂
