I Knew Better

Good morning, everyone,

The Ragtag Daily Prompt word this morning is BETTER, one of those lovely flexible words that means anything and covers about every subject — on the positive side.

“You’d better not,”
he warned me,
but I knew better, right?
“What fools these mortals be!”
“Better days ahead,”
the doctor said, “But next time…
better LISTEN.”
