creaking floor boards shadowy shapes in corners no more Stephen King!

The only thing I’ve ever read by Stephen King is a short memoir. My imagination is active enough without being terror-propelled.

I read something of his years ago, about clowns and sewers and other unpleasant things I don’t remember. That was enough for me.
All I’ve read are brief reviews and comments other writers make about his stories. Enough to know I’d best leave those stories alone. I read part of one of James Patterson”s books and it was okay. I had to admire his skill as a writer — he has “terse” down to an art form! Thanks for your comment.

Haha! Too funny.
I admit to not seeking out terror-inducing reads, myself.

As you say, each to their own. Every person must decide what they can handle without losing sleep. 😉
