he paints the town
she dyes his shirts
black
from the pain
a new direction
learning curve
gnarled old trees
broken by life's storms

    1. I’ve found it so. Yesterday our granddaughter told us she’s going away this fall to teach school children (grs 3+4) at another congregation five hours away. Another new direction for our family: first to leave home. An S curve, glad-sad-glad. 😉
