her sister says gray
she calls it charcoal
they argue for hours
funky new outfit
scorning people’s stares
wanting them to look
tattered blinds
cover all the windows
broken dishes

No, winning seems impossible when the enemy spreads underground. Also, we planted sea buckthorn when it was touted as a good choice for dry, sandy prairie areas. Now it’s a scorned invasive species. 😦
I do half the time, too. When the scene is upbeat it’s grey, like a grey dawn. When it’s an ugly thing, like menacing clouds, it’s GRAY. 🙂
Pity the poor worm having three birds trying to divide you! Glad it gave you a chuckle.

I had to laugh at the robins! As for gray, I call it grey!
