every night I shed my daytime persona moonlight as author
rain washes the earth but its clouds do nothing to scrub the poor moon's face
moonlight serenade two toms compete across the fence
under a bright moon moles scrounge for food homeless search dumpsters
beside the moon one little star doing its best
