a blister from
the new white sneakers
first day of school
opening a new
geography text
the miles we'll go
nervous new teacher
the class bully
flexes his ego
party animal
the family business draining
down his throat
snowflakes
on the old school bell
thirtieth class reunion

Love these school-related haiku.
Now you need one concerning the scent of school supplies 😉

Thanks Dale. I thought of smells, but the one that came to mind first was “chalk dust.” I’ll have to think on that. maybe I should do one on those FAT pencils we got in first grade to practice our letters with. 😉

Yes, long ago. Back in the days when we were expected to sit in our desks and be quiet, when texting and selfies were undreamt of. 😉
